Mid-April (or if you’re in Winnipeg - mid-March) garden update.   With the way things are going, we might be setting up the raised beds in the living room.

Ugh.  I guess it got a little too cold on the window sill last night.  I’m hoping a few days in the infirmary will perk them up.  My doubtful fingers are crossed.

I’ve been hoarding my egg shells all winter aiming to throw them in the compost bin once it unthaws.  The situation started to look a little psycho, so I decided to grind them up instead.  I’ll be adding it to my soil mix once the summer hits.

I love my job.  Today we spent the day at the University of Manitoba’s Farm and Food Discovery Centre.
